Karwa & associates

Key Takeaways: The CBIC has set up committees to clear pending pre-GST central excise and service tax cases. The move will bring faster resolution where demands were raised under the old indirect tax regime, helping businesses close long pending litigation and move forward under GST.

The Focal Leading body of Backhanded Charges and Customs (CBIC) has comprised Traditions, Focal Extract and Administration Expense Settlement Commission expected to determine and settle the show-cause sees gave under the Traditions Act, Focal Extract Act and Administration Assessment system.

The move would bring rapid removal of situations where request has been raised under the old backhanded charge system. “Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax Settlement Commission-A Filip to Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism for speedy settlement of Show Cause Notification gave under Customs Act/Focal Extract Act/Administration Expense,” the CBIC tweeted.
