This guide explains the Rajasthan gems export subsidy in plain words: who can claim, how much, and what proof the file needs.
Are you a Rajasthan gems and jewellery exporter selling on Etsy, eBay, Amazon Global or Shopify, and paying platform fees every month?
You may be able to claim back 75% of those fees, up to Rs 2,00,000 per unit, under the Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy 2024. It is a reimbursement, not a cash grant in advance, and it is only for the right fees, in the right unit name, with the right proof.
That is exactly where most claims fail, and where a proper check before filing saves time and money.
What is the Rajasthan gems export subsidy, in plain words
Under the Promotion of E-Commerce Exports head of Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy 2024, MSME exporters can get reimbursement of 75% of the total fees charged by e-commerce platforms engaged in exports, including registration fees, referral fees, closing fees, shipping fees and subscription fees, up to a maximum of Rs 2.00 lakh per unit or exporter, for a maximum of 2 years through e-commerce.
That means:
- You pay the platform first.
- You file with fee invoices, shipping bills and bank realisation proof.
- The sanctioning authority reimburses 75% of eligible fees, subject to the cap and the current guidelines.
It does not cover product cost, gold or gemstone cost, making charges, or general business expenses. It does not cover domestic sales. It does not pay Rs 2,00,000 to every exporter automatically.
Worked example: Rajasthan gems export subsidy
- Platform fees paid in the year: Rs 2,00,000, claim: Rs 1,50,000
- Platform fees paid in the year: Rs 2,66,667, claim: Rs 2,00,000, full cap reached
- Platform fees paid in the year: Rs 1,00,000, claim: Rs 75,000
- Platform fees paid in the year: Rs 4,00,000, claim: still Rs 2,00,000, cap applies
If your fees are spread across Etsy, eBay and Shopify, add them together for the same unit’s Rajasthan gems export subsidy claim, but keep month-wise statements for each platform separately. One mixed total without proof will slow the file down.
Who can claim the Rajasthan gems export subsidy, and who cannot
You are a strong candidate if:
- Your unit is registered in Rajasthan.
- You are engaged in gems and jewellery exports, or another export business covered by the policy.
- You hold a valid IEC from DGFT, and the IEC name matches your unit name exactly.
- You hold a current RCMC from the council covering your product. For gems and jewellery, that is normally GJEPC.
- You hold Udyam registration and your GST returns for the claim period are filed.
- Your sales on the platform are exports, with shipping bills and bank realisation to prove it.
- You have not claimed the same platform fees under any other State or Central scheme.
You are not a strong candidate if:
- Your unit is registered outside Rajasthan, even if you source from Jaipur.
- Your RCMC has lapsed, or is from a council that does not cover gems and jewellery.
- Your platform invoices are in a personal name, a group entity name, or a different trading name.
- Your sales are domestic, or you cannot show export shipping and realisation proof.
- You are claiming the same fees again under another scheme.
A poster doing the rounds also mentions a minimum total export sales of Rs 20 lakh. That condition is not confirmed in the policy summaries we have checked, so we do not use it to reject or approve a case on its own.
We verify it with DICC Jaipur or the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council in writing for your specific case before filing.
Other benefits in the same policy, for different expenses only
A gems exporter claiming the Rajasthan gems export subsidy should not look at e-commerce fees alone. In the same policy round, different expenses can qualify under different heads:
- Certification and export documentation: 50%, up to Rs 5 lakh per unit per annum
- Product testing: 75%, up to Rs 20,000 per shipment, up to Rs 3 lakh per financial year
- International trade fair marketing: 75%, up to Rs 3 lakh, once in two years, approved event only
- Freight through State ICD or air cargo complex: 25%, up to Rs 25 lakh per annum, for MSMEs limited to first-time exporters
- ECGC premium: up to 50%, up to Rs 2 lakh per annum, for MSME exporters
One fee can be claimed under one head only. Double claiming the same expense is a rejection and reversal risk, not a shortcut.

What Karwa and Associates does for a gems exporter claiming the Rajasthan gems export subsidy
Karwa and Associates, Chartered Accountants, Jaipur, since 1991, helps Rajasthan exporters with the full file, not just the form:
- Eligibility check: IEC, GJEPC RCMC, Udyam, GST, and unit name matching, before you spend on filing.
- Fee calculation: month-wise platform fee total from Etsy, eBay, Amazon Global or Shopify, eligible fees only, claim amount with the Rs 2 lakh cap applied.
- Document pack: IEC, RCMC, Udyam, GST returns, platform fee invoices and statements, shipping bills, bank realisation and e-BRC, and the no-duplication declaration, in filing order.
- Filing and tracking: online filing via SSO ID or e-Mitra with the Department of Industries and Commerce, Rajasthan Export Promotion Council, and DICC Jaipur, and replies to department queries until sanction or a clear reason for rejection.
- Other heads check: certification, testing, trade fair and freight, so you do not leave a separate eligible claim unfiled in the same round.
We do not promise sanction for a Rajasthan gems export subsidy claim. Eligibility and sanction are decided by the State Level Task Force Committee or the District Level Task Force Committee, not by us. What we promise is a file that is checked before it is filed, so you do not lose months on a preventable rejection.
Documents to send for a Rajasthan gems export subsidy claim check
Send these for a Rajasthan gems export subsidy claim check, and we will tell you your likely claim amount and any gap to fix first:
- IEC certificate
- Current GJEPC RCMC
- Udyam certificate
- Platform fee statements, last financial year and current year so far, by platform and month
- Total export sales for the same periods
- GST returns for the claim period, if available
If you do not have a current RCMC, or your platform invoices are in a different name, tell us that first. Those two gaps are fixable, but they must be fixed before filing, not after.
Frequently asked questions about the Rajasthan gems export subsidy
Is Rs 2,00,000 guaranteed for every Rajasthan gems exporter?
No. Under the Rajasthan gems export subsidy, it is up to Rs 2,00,000, at 75% of eligible platform fees, capped per unit, for a maximum of 2 years, subject to eligibility and sanction.
Does this apply to domestic Etsy or Amazon India sales?
No. The Rajasthan gems export subsidy head is for e-commerce platforms engaged in exports. Domestic sales do not count.
Can a merchant exporter claim, or only a manufacturer?
The policy covers manufacturer, merchant and service exporters, subject to IEC and RCMC. Your RCMC must cover the product you actually export.
How long does the policy run?
The Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy 2024 runs to 31 March 2029, with claims period-bound within it. The e-commerce benefit itself is a maximum 2-year window, not an open-ended annual benefit.
What if I already claimed these fees under a Central scheme?
Then you cannot claim the same fees again under this state policy. Tell us about any earlier claim before filing, so the file is not built on a duplicate expense.
Before you file: a Rajasthan gems export subsidy recap
Before you file, run through this recap. First, check that your unit name matches exactly across your IEC, GJEPC RCMC, Udyam registration and platform invoices, because a name mismatch is the most common preventable reason a file slows down.
Second, total your platform fees month by month and platform by platform, and apply the 75% rate and the Rs 2 lakh cap to the eligible fees only. Third, keep your shipping bills and bank realisation proof with the fee statements, so every rupee claimed is backed by an export document.
Fourth, remember that one fee can be claimed under one head only, so do not put the same expense into a second claim. Finally, confirm the current guidelines with DICC Jaipur or the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council before you file, and send the document pack listed above for a Rajasthan gems export subsidy claim check if anything is unclear.
If any item in the recap is missing, fix it before filing rather than after. A lapsed RCMC, an invoice in a different name, or a missing bank realisation certificate can all be sorted out in advance, and sorting them out first is faster than answering a department query later.

This post is general information on the Rajasthan gems export subsidy under the Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy 2024, e-commerce export head, as summarised from the policy.
It is not a sanction order for any specific unit. Eligibility, cap, period and documents depend on the current operational guidelines and the decision of the sanctioning authority. Check the current guidelines with DICC Jaipur or the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council before filing.
