The Rajasthan Government has presented the State Budget for FY 2026-27 with strong focus on infrastructure development, water management, agriculture, energy, women empowerment, industrial growth, and social security.


1. Airport Development & Connectivity

  • Feasibility studies to be conducted for new airports in Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Bharatpur-Deeg region.
  • Improved regional air connectivity planned.

2. Social Security & Direct Benefit Transfer

  • Tribal families to receive Rs 1,200 per month through DBT in the account of the female head of the family instead of ration benefits.
  • Around 38,000 families expected to benefit.
  • Over 91 lakh beneficiaries received pension assistance amounting to Rs 28,400 crore under social security schemes.

3. Labour Welfare & Digital Governance

  • Launch of “Shram Setu Mobile App” for workers.
  • Digital labour registration and employment request facility.
  • 100 key government services available through WhatsApp platform.
  • Jan Aadhaar database to be integrated across departments under a 360-degree approach for automated eligibility determination.

4. Agriculture & Irrigation

  • Focus on increasing farmers’ income and promoting value addition.
  • Micro-irrigation systems to be installed in 3 lakh hectares.
  • Allocation of Rs 1,340 crore for this initiative.
  • Irrigation expansion projects worth over Rs 11,300 crore.
  • 50,000 new solar pump plants proposed with Rs 1,500 crore allocation.
  • Target to increase irrigation coverage to 51 percent by 2030.

5. Water Supply Projects

  • Acceleration of Yamuna Water Project.
  • Mega project estimated at Rs 32,000 crore.
  • Drinking water projects worth Rs 24,000 crore approved.
  • 6,500 villages to be covered under Jal Jeevan Mission.
  • Drainage system strengthening in Jaipur and Ajmer.

6. Roads & Infrastructure

  • Development of 16,430 kilometers of new roads.
  • Revamping 11 BOT roads and construction of 15 new ROBs and RUBs.
  • 1,000 km of national highways and 2,000 km of district roads proposed.
  • Rs 1,800 crore allocated for road development.
  • Rs 500 crore for repair of rain-damaged roads.

7. Industry & Investment

  • New industrial parks with Rs 350 crore allocation.
  • Margin money support of Rs 15 crore for MSMEs.
  • Development of multi-modal logistics hubs and inland container depots.
  • Roadmap to attract Rs 2 lakh crore investment in the energy sector.
  • Solar energy production target of 1,400 MW.

8. Education & Youth Development

  • Vocational education to begin in 500 new schools.
  • Rs 20,000 e-voucher for meritorious students of Class 10 and 12.
  • Business loan facility up to Rs 10 lakh for youth entrepreneurs.
  • AI-based learning initiatives in collaboration with IIT Delhi.
  • Launch of DREAM digital mentoring program.

9. Women Empowerment

  • Loan limit under Lakhpati Didi scheme increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh.
  • Rural Women BPO centers to be established with Rs 100 crore allocation.
  • Women empowerment complexes in Bharatpur and Kota.
  • 150 colleges to establish Rani Lakshmibai Centers for self-defense training.

10. Tourism & Cultural Promotion

  • Development of Thar Cultural Circuit.
  • 60,000 senior citizens to receive pilgrimage support.
  • Facade improvement of Shekhawati havelis.
  • Training of tourist guides and hospitality workforce.
  • Model road development in key religious towns.

11. Urban Development

  • Rs 3,000 crore for urban beautification and infrastructure upgrading.
  • Installation of 4 lakh new streetlights.
  • Affordable housing projects approved for 28 lakh families.
  • Comprehensive mobility plans in major cities.

12. Energy & Power Infrastructure

  • Establishment of new 400 KV, 220 KV and 132 KV substations.
  • Expansion of rooftop solar capacity to 518 MW.
  • Strong push toward renewable energy and energy self-reliance.

Overall

The Rajasthan Budget 2026-27 emphasizes infrastructure expansion, irrigation growth, renewable energy, women empowerment, youth development, and industrial investment.

The budget aims to balance economic growth with social security and regional development.
