Rajasthan Budget Key Highlights 2025-26

On February 19, 2025, Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, Diya Kumari, presented the state’s Budget for the financial year 2025-26.
Major Highlights of
Rajasthan Budget 2025-26:
Economic & Infrastructure Development
- Target to double Rajasthan’s economy to $350 billion by 2030.
- Jaipur Metro Phase 2 to start soon, covering Ambabari to Sitapura with 21 stations.
- 9 Field Expressways, 15 Ring Roads, and Link Roads to improve connectivity.
- BRTS system in Jaipur to be removed; ₹250 crore allocated for road improvement.
- 500 new buses for urban areas to improve public transport.
- 14 cities, including Nathdwara, Khatu Shyamji, and Mount Abu, to be developed as Clean & Green Cities.
Power & Energy
- Free electricity up to 150 units, increased from 100 units.
- 5 lakh new domestic & 50,000 agricultural electricity connections.
- Surplus power production of 6,400 MW to meet demand.
- PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme:
- Free 150 units for solar-powered homes.
- Community solar panels for low-income families.
Employment & Youth Welfare
- 1.25 lakh government jobs to be provided next year.
- 1.5 lakh private jobs through employment fairs and initiatives.
- Skill Development Institute in Kota for youth training.
- Bikaner to be developed as an Innovation Hub.
- Loans up to ₹2 crore for young entrepreneurs with 8% interest subsidy and ₹5 lakh margin money support.
Agriculture & Rural Development
- ₹25,000 crore in agricultural loans for 35 lakh farmers.
- 10 crore trees to be planted under Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan.
- 1,000 tube wells & 1,500 hand pumps under CM Jal Jeevan Mission with ₹5,830 crore allocation.
Social Welfare & Public Services
- Senior citizens’ pension increased to ₹1,250 per month.
- Free medicines for citizens above 70 years at home.
- Religious pilgrimages for senior citizens under the government scheme.
- Stamp duty reduced by 0.5% on property up to ₹50 lakh if purchased with wife.
- Leased landholders in urban areas can clear dues by Sept 30 to avail penalty & interest waivers.
Education & Student Welfare
- Anti-suicide Youth Support Centers to be established for students.
- ₹100 crore CM Higher Education Scholarship to support students.
