CBDT Extends Due Date for Filing Tax Audit Reports for AY 2025-26 FY 2024-25
New Delhi, 25th September 2025 – The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has announced an important relief for taxpayers and professionals. The due date for furnishing various audit reports under the Income-tax Act, 1961 for the Previous Year 2024-25 (Assessment Year 2025-26) has been extended from 30th September 2025 to 31st October 2025.

The specified date for filing audit reports under section 139(1) of the Income-tax Act has now been extended to 31st October 2025.
